MÉRŐ, László
executive coaching
Originally, I graduated as a mathematician and later I did my Ph.D. research on engineering (artificial intelligence). From 1984 on I lectured at the Department of Experimental Psychology at ELTE University, and at the moment I am the professor of the Psychology of Economics Group, also at ELTE University. My lectures include Psychology of Economics, Human Thinking and Decision Making, Game Theory, Memetics and Methodology. I am one of the founders of the Business Coach Training at BMF College.
I led a software development company for 20 years, until it was totally bought up by Walt Disney Co. Since then I have been working as a counselor and a coach, helping other companies.
My books written for the wider intellectual public (Habits of Mind: The Power and Limits of Rational Thought; Moral Calculations; The Evolution of Money) have been translated into 7 other languages; the Everybody Is the Same in Another Way was awarded the “Scientific Book of the Year in Germany” title in 1998. A collection of shorter writings was published in 2005 (Are You the Dance Instructor Here?), followed by the Flighty Nature of Principles in 2008.
